The Equipment Upgrade System in Lineage 2 High Five lets you strengthen weapons, armor, jewelry, and cloaks step by step while preserving valuable item enhancements and preparing your character for the toughest PvE and PvP challenges

Starting from S-grade, all weapons, armor, and accessories can be progressively upgraded to unlock higher stat tiers. The upgrade system greatly increases your character's combat power and is one of the core progression features on the server.

Upgrades are performed through NPC Smuggler, located in Giran. Each equipment category can be upgraded up to Level 10.

To advance to each new upgrade level, you will need the previous upgrade level item, the corresponding higher-grade item, Rare Stone, and other required materials. Higher upgrade levels require increasingly valuable resources.

Starting from Vesper (Upgrade Level 4), as well as for all Epic Jewelry beginning at Upgrade Level 1, all key item properties are preserved: Enchant, Attribute, and the applied Life Stone. This allows you to continue upgrading your equipment without losing its existing enhancements.

Exception: appearances applied through the Dress Me system are not transferred during upgrades and will be removed when the new item is created.

NPC Smuggler also offers an exchange service that converts regular Level 7, 8, and 9 weapons into the corresponding Weapon Box. This requires the weapon itself, the matching box recipe, and the required amount of Adena.

Every upgrade level provides substantial stat increases for weapons, armor, and accessories, making your character significantly stronger in both PvE and PvP. Upgraded equipment is essential for clearing the most challenging instances, hunting in new zones, and defeating powerful Raid Bosses and Epic Bosses.

Please note: even Level 1 upgraded equipment already surpasses standard end-game gear in terms of stats, making the upgrade system one of the most important aspects of character progression.

In addition to their upgrade level bonuses, Cloaks can also be enchanted up to +10.

Each enchant level grants additional HP and Attribute Defense, providing up to +100% base HP and +50 Attribute Defense at maximum enchant.

Enchant Scrolls can be purchased from NPC Fyrensia for Gold Dust, which can be obtained from solo Epic Zone instances.
